Important Safeguards
When using this light box, always follow basic
safety precautions, including the following:
1. Read and understand all instructions
before using.
2. Supervision is necessary when used
by or near children. Do not leave children
unattended while they are using the
device. The recommended minimum
age is 12 years old.
3. Do not operate this equipment with a
damaged adapter or if the unit has been
dropped or otherwise damaged, until a
qualifi ed electrician has examined it.
4. If an extension cord is necessary, be
sure it has a suitable current rating.
Cords rated for less amperage than this
equipment may overheat. Be careful to
arrange the cord so that it will not be
tripped over or pulled.
5. Always unplug from the electrical
outlet when not in use. Disconnect by
grasping and pulling the adapter plug
from the outlet; never yank the cord to
disconnect the plug.
6. Do not immerse in water. If the unit
receives water damage, do not use until
inspected by a qualifi ed electrician.
BeadGlo TM Features
• Removable design trays. Each BeadGlo TM
comes with two custom-designed trays.
• A Ruler – may be applied directly to the
work area surface or a design tray.
• 5” x 9” surface, which is illuminated by a
common 8000-hour fl uorescent lamp. This
lamp provides the perfect amount of light
for your projects.
• Alternate power supplies – batteries
(225-486)
or AC Adapter (225-590 ).
• 6 watt (8000 hour) readily available daylight
fl uorescent lamp.
Set Up & Operation
Power Adapter
225-590 (See Figure 1)
Attaching the Power Adapter
1. Remove adapter from the box.
2. Ensure power switch is in the “O” mode
and plug the adapter into the power jack
located next to the switch.
3. Plug the adapter into an electrical outlet.
4. Flip power switch to the “I” position. Your
BeadGlo TM is now ready to be used! Put a
design tray on the surface and start your
beading project.
Battery Operation
225-486 (See Figure 2)
The BeadGlo TM may be operated by installing
6 AA batteries into the battery compartment
located in the base of the box. (Unplug AC
Adapter before installing batteries.)
1. Ensure power switch is in the “O” mode
and remove battery cover screw with a #1
Phillips screwdriver.
2. Insert 6 AA batteries according to diagram.
3. Replace battery cover and
tighten screw.
4. Turn unit right side up.
Flip power switch to
the “I” position. Your
BeadGlo
TM is now
ready to go anywhere!
Important Tips to Remember
• Turn the unit off when not in use to
conserve battery life.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries or
different types of batteries.
• Do not leave batteries in for long periods
of time if the light box is not in use.
