SUBJECT: CYLINDER BRACE

Before inspecting or servicing any part of this machine,
shut off power source, remove key, disconnect the
battery cables and make sure all moving parts have
come to a complete stop.
If a quick split kit has been previously installed, it will
be necessary to remove it from the channel mount
plate and mount it directly to the new cylinder brace
plate at the two hole locations detailed in Fig. 2.
WARNING
NOTE
This kit is used to install a cylinder brace on a Log Splitter.
Use of the cylinder brace is recommended in areas where
the Log Splitter will be used in a Rental application or be
towed over rough terrain. The brace stabilizes the cylinder
during towing and can help prolong its life.

INSTALLATION:
Refer to parts list on reverse.
1. Insert new support plate into place at end of beam
under the cylinder as shown in Fig. 1.
2. Secure on operators side with two 3/8" self-tapping
screws.
3. Secure on engine side with two 3/8 x 1-1/2" bolts, four
washers and two nylock nuts.
IMPORTANT
Towing speeds are NOT to exceed 45 mph.
