• CLASH may flash on the screen
when you finish setting a timer
recording, then the PROGRAM
menu will appear. This means that
the timer recording you just pro-
grammed and another timer record-
ing overlap, and thus the current
timer recording will not be carried
out. In this case, cancel one of the
overlapping timer recordings by fol-
lowing the instructions on this page.
• If the preset time for a timer
recording comes up during an OTR,
the OTR has priority.
• To stop a started timer recording,
press the STOP/EJECT button on
the VCR.
• If the power fails for more than one
minute, programmed timer record-
ings will be lost. If this occurs, reset
the VCR’s clock before re-program-
ming the timer recording(s).

Press the VCR button, then the POWER button to turn on
the VCR.
Reviewing or Cancelling Timer Recordings

Make sure the VCR light appears on the display panel of the VCR.
If it does not, press the VCR/TV button.

Press the MENU button.

Press the Number 1 button to select PROGRAM.

Press the Number 4 button to select PROGRAM REVIEW. The
timer recording information for the program in the lowest num-
bered slot will appear on-screen. If there are no timer recordings
set, nothing will happen when you press the Number 4 button.

Press the Number 1 button repeatedly to review all pro-
grammed timer recordings. If you don’t press the Number 1
button in 10 seconds, the VCR will automatically display informa-
tion about the next programmed timer recording. This will contin-
ue until all filled positions have been displayed. Then the menu will
disappear.

To cancel the timer recording displayed, press the
CLEAR button. Either the display will disappear or information
about other timer recordings will appear. If you do not press any
other buttons, the display will disappear after all timer recordings
have been displayed.

Repeat steps 3-6 to make sure you have cleared the cor-
rect timer recording.
