Product Highlights
Home audio quality on the PC
Philips has used over 75 years experience at the
leading edge of audio to create PC audio products
with the same performance as our award-winning
home audio systems.
Music, games, films, internet
All types of music, games, films and internet audio
sources can be played, so no matter what you want
to hear, we make your multimedia experiences sound
more involving than ever.
5.1 channel playback
5.1 channel sound for reproduction of Dolby Digital
®
and EAX
®
sound sources.
Subwoofer + satellite speakers
The audio system is separated into a subwoofer that
is optimized to reproduce bass frequencies and
satellite speakers that are optimsed for mid- and
high-range frequencies. The result is a system that
powerfully reproduces the full range of audio
frequencies from deep bass to crystal clear high
notes with the minimum of distortion.
Open-face speakers
To hear every detail in your audio, aerodynamic
protectors are used instead of a cloth or metal
cover. This not only prevents damage to the speaker,
but also enables maximum sound to be produced
with minimum distortion.
Wooden subwoofer
The housing of the subwoofer is made from wood,
giving it superior stability and acoustical performance.
Bass Reflex Speaker System
Bass Reflex Speaker System delivers a deep bass
experience from a compact loudspeaker box system.
It differs from a conventional loudspeaker box
system in the addition of a bass pipe that is
acoustically aligned to the woofer to optimize the
low frequency roll-off of the system. The result is
deeper controlled bass and lower distortion. The
system works by resonating the air mass in the bass
pipe to vibrate like a conventional woofer. Combined
with the response of the woofer, the system extends
the overall low frequency sounds to create a whole
new dimension of deep bass.
Digital Dynamic Bass Boost
Digital Dynamic Bass Boost is an intelligent bass
booster that delivers maximum bass enhancement at
high volumes without sound distortion and at low
volumes without compromising on bottom-end bass
frequencies. Technologically advanced electronics
constantly monitor volume and bass levels, precisely
calibrating both to prevent sound distortion, thus
producing optimized bass. Digital Dynamic Bass
Boost enables the enjoyment of superb bass
performance - regardless of the chosen volume level.
Quick set-up
Color-coded cables, clear labelling and easy to
understand documentation mean you'll be up and
running in minutes.
Magnetic Shielding
Because the powerful magnets in speaker drivers are
magnetically shielded, there's no danger of image
distortion or damage when placed close to your PC
monitor screen.
