hotline. We have put the maximum effort in developing, testing and

designing this high-quality product.

However, in the unfortunate case that your product needs repair, please call

your local Philips consumer care hotline. They will help you with arranging

any necessary repairs in a minimum time with maximum convenience - they

can arrange a courier to come to your home to collect your product and

bring it back when it is repaired.

This chapter summarises the most common problems you could encounter

with the appliance. If you are unable to solve the problem with the

information below, contact the Consumer Care Centre in your country.

Problem

Solution

The appliance

does not work.

The batteries are empty. Recharge the batteries (see

chapter ‘Preparing for use’, section ‘Charging’).
The safety system is activated. In this case it is not

possible to switch on the appliance and the charging

light flashes red. Press and hold the unlock

button and then press and hold the power-on

button within 2 seconds to switch on the appliance

(see chapter ‘Using the appliance’).
The overheat protection may have switched off the

appliance because the motor is too hot. The charging

light lights up red. Let the appliance cool down for

10 minutes before you continue to use it. If the

appliance still does not work, contact your Philips

dealer or a service centre authorised by Philips.

suddenly stops

working.

Some hard ingredients may block the blades. Release

the power-on button to switch off the appliance,

detach the motor unit and remove the ingredients

that block the blades.

The charging

light flashes red.

and then press and hold the power-on button within

Use the regular chopper blade unit to chop soft

ingredients. Do not use the regular chopper blade

unit to chop hard ingredients, to prevent this blade

unit from becoming blunt. Use the serrated chopper

blade unit to chop ice cubes and other hard

ingredients.
