First time use instructions
Place a bowl (1.5L) on the
cup tray.
Fill the water reservoir
with water and put it
back on the machine.
Make sure the milk
container unit is in place.
Make sure a pod holder,
without pod(s), is in the
machine.
Press the button. Press and
simultaneously.
The water in the water reservoir is flushed through the
machine and the boiler is filled with water. This process
stops automatically, do not interrupt it!
If the appliance does not work, repeat steps 1 to 6. Do not interrupt the process!
Brewing black coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato or caffè latte
If you want to make a coffee variety with milk, fill the milk container.
Fill the water reservoir
with water.
Press the button. Place the pod holder and
one pod (for black coffee and
coffee varieties with milk).
Or place the pod
holder and two pods (for
black coffee only).
To brew black coffee, go straight to step 9.
Quick start guide
Lift the lever and remove
the milk container unit
from the machine.
Remove the milk
container lid.
Fill the milk container
with cold milk (5-8°C)
to the correct level.
Reattach the lid, place the
milk container unit in the
machine and press down
the lever.
Select the desired coffee
variety.
For black coffee only:
choose a strong , normal
or mild cup of coffee.
Place 1 or 2 cups under
the spout and press
or (for black coffee
only) to brew coffee.
Tip: Pre-heat your cups
with hot water to keep
the coffee hot longer.

Cleaning the milk container unit
A Flushing after every use with the CLEAN button
Lift the lever and remove
the milk container unit from
the machine.
For a reliable performance of the milk container unit and consistently good frothing results, it is very
important that you follow each of the 2 cleaning procedures below:
A Flush the milk container unit with the CLEAN button immediately after use when you do not intend
to froth milk again straightaway.
B Clean all parts of the milk container unit thoroughly after the last use of the day.
Rinse the milk container
under the tap and fill it
with cold water.
Reinsert the milk container
and place an empty cup on
the cup tray.
Press the CLEAN button.

Open the milk container
lid cover.
Remove the milk
container lid.
Pull out the steam inlet. Pull off the milk tube.
Clean the milk container,
milk container lid and milk
tube in the dishwasher
(recommended) or in hot
water with some washing-up
liquid. Rinse the parts with
fresh water after cleaning.
Push back the steam inlet,
connect the milk tube
firmly onto the connector
of the milk container lid and
close the milk container
lid cover.
Reattach the lid, place the
milk container unit in the
machine and press down
the lever.
