What are the advantages of using crawler tractors for dumping coal?
• The excellent climbing power of the crawler tractor enables the coal to be stockpiled very high in a limited space.
The available storage area for coal can be used much more efficiently.
• Coal becomes heavily compacted. The power station can hold larger storage reserves.
• The compacting of the coal reduces the degassing and the danger of coal being burned off at the
ambient temperature.
