How to Use
This unit is for household use only.
GEttING StARtEd
Remove all packing material and any stickers from the product.
Before first use, wash the interior of the kettle and the scale filter with hot
soapy water and rinse well until water is clear.
Select a level surface where this unit is to be used allowing enough space for
steam to escape without damage to counters, cabi,nets and walls.
Uncoil power cord from power cord holder at bottom of the power base
Fill kettle with 2½ cups cold tap water and 1¼ cup vinegar and place on
power base. Close cover.
Plug cord into standard electrical outlet.
Bring to a full boil and discard.
Fill kettle with at least 6 cups of cold tap water. Bring to full boil and discard;
repeat. Kettle is now ready for use.
Note: The kettle will only operate when the I/O (On/Off) switch is in the I (On)
position. The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has boiled. The
kettle will automatically shut off if there is no water in the kettle.
FILLING tHE KEttLE
Press latch and lift cover of kettle
(C). Fill with desired
amount of cold tap water (from 3½ to 7 cups). Be sure
water does not come above the bottom of the pour spout to
prevent boiling water from spilling onto the counter.
Note:
• Do not operate the kettle without water.
• Do not overfill the kettle - keep water level below the
pour spout.
• Do not open the cover while water is heating.
BoILING WAtER
1. Press lid release latch to open cover of kettle
(d).
2. Be sure kettle has at least 3½ cups of cold tap water in it
before use.
3. Close lid on kettle securely. (Cover snaps into place.)
4. Place kettle on the power base so the element on the
bottom of the kettle rests securely on the power base (E).
5. Position kettle with spout facing away from walls,
cabinets and your body.
