Problem

Food or grease has caked onto
the grilling plate.
Carefully clean the grilling plate after each
use. You can remove residues by soaking
the plate in hot water with some washing-
up liquid for five minutes. This will loosen
any caked food or grease.
The food is not
grilled properly
(too raw or
burnt).
You have set a too low or too
high temperature and/or you
have grilled not grilled the food
long enough or you have grilled
it too long.
Set a lower or higher temperature and/or
grill the food for a longer or shorter
period. See the table at the end of this
booklet for the recommended
temperature and grilling time for various
types of food.
During grilling, fat
or juice drips
onto the
worktop
You have not put the drip tray in
the base.

During grilling, fat
or juice splatters
onto the
worktop
You have not put the splatter
guard on the appliance.
Put the splatter guard on the appliance.
You are grilling ingredients that
contain a lot of fat or juice.
Clean the worktop with a damp cloth
after grilling.
The table grill
switches off in
the middle of the
grilling process
The table grill has been on for
more than 45 minutes. If you do
not use the + and - buttons to
adjust the temperature or the
timer for 45 minutes after you
switch on the appliance, the
appliance switches off
automatically for safety reasons.
To continue cooking, you have to press the
temperature/timer button or the + or -
button.
The message ‘Err’
appears on the
display.
The appliance is unable to reach
the set temperature and
therefore the heating element
switches off.
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
Then put the plug back into the wall
socket, switch on the appliance and let it
heat up again. If the message ‘Err’ appears
on the display again, contact
the Consumer Care Centre in your
country.
