• Press the button (5/13) in order to set the hours.
• Press the button (8/3) in order to set the minutes.
• The time is stored automatically.

NOTE:

Storage/display of the time is lost as soon as the electricity
supply is interrupted.

CD deck transport protection
• Please open the CD compartment (1) by pressing the

OPEN (open) button (3).

• Remove the transport protection from the CD player if

present before use.

General Operation

NOTE:

Some buttons are to be found both on the device itself and
on the remote control. Buttons with the same designation
have the same function.

Turning the unit on/off
• Press the STANDBY button (12/18), to turn the unit on.

The device starts in the most recently activated mode (CD,
USB, or radio).

• Press the STANDBY button again to turn the unit off. The

time is displayed.

Volume
You can set the desired volume with the VOLUME control (11)
or the VOL+/VOL- buttons (17 on the remote control).

USB Connexion (7)
This device has been developed in accordance with the
latest technical developments in the USB field. Unfortunately
the large number of different types of USB storage media on
offer today makes it impossible to guarantee full compatibil-
ity with all USB storage media. For this reason there may be
problems in rare cases with playing back from USB storage
media. This is

not a malfunction of the device.

1. Press the INPUT button (13/7) until USB shows in the

display.

2. Insert a USB storage medium directly into the corre-

sponding connection.

3. After a few seconds the total number of tracks appears

briefly and then playback begins. The current song and
the letters MP3 and USB appear in the display.

For operating instructions please see the section “Playing
CDs/MP3s”.

CAUTION:

Before you remove the USB storage medium, use the
INPUT button to switch the unit to RADIO or CD.

Setting the alarm
• Press the ALARM button (9 on the remote control) to set

the desired alarm. Press the ALARM button repeatedly
to switch between Alarm 1

, Alarm 2

, Alarm 1 and

Alarm 2

, and alarm “Off”.

NOTE:

When Alarm 1 and Alarm 2

are activated, the

earlier time triggers the alarm.

• Press the INPUT button (13/7) to set the alarm sound.

Press repeatedly to switch between the settings CD, USB,
internal radio, or buzzer.

NOTE:

• For the setting CD, a CD must be inserted.
• For the setting USB, a USB device with audio data

must be connected.

• For the setting Radio, a radio station must have

been tuned in.

• Set the desired alarm volume with the volume but-

tons.

Snooze / alarm off
• When the alarm time is reached, you can press the

SNOOZE button (4 on the remote control) to turn off the
alarm. The alarm is repeated after 9 minutes.

NOTE:

The snooze function can be used up to one hour after
the set alarm time has been reached. Then the alarm
function is switched off.

• To turn off the alarm, press the STANDBY button (12/18).

Then the alarm function is turned off for 24 hours.

NOTE:

The alarm automatically turns off after one hour.

Setting the sleep timer
When the sleep timer has been set, the unit is switched off
after a preset time. Press the SLEEP button (8 on the remote
control) to activate the sleep timer. By repeatedly pressing
the SLEEP button, the off time can be set as 120, 90, 60, 45,
30, or 15 minutes. To turn off the sleep timer, press the SLEEP
button until the symbol “SLEEP” on the display goes out.

Listening to the Radio

Find stations
1. Press the INPUT button (13/7) until RADIO shows in the

display.

2. Use the buttons (8/3) and (5/13) to tune to the

desired station. When you hold down either button, the
unit tunes to the next radio station. The display shows the
tuned frequency.
