Troubleshooting
Computer/connectivity problems
Memory card is almost
or entirely full ■ Transfer the pictures to the computer (see page 44 ).
■ Delete pictures from the card or insert a new card.
■ Change the image storage location to internal memory ( see
page 32 ).
Battery life is short ■ Make sure the correct battery type is installed (see page 59 ).
■ Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth before inserting a
battery in the camera.
■ Insert a new or charged battery (see page 1 ).
You cannot take a
picture ■ Turn the camera off, then on again.
■ Depress the Shutter button all the way (see page 6 ).
■ Insert a new or charged battery (see page 1 ).
■ Memory is full. Transfer pictures to the computer (see page 44 ),
delete pictures (see page 14 ), change image storage location
( see page 32 ), or insert another card.
Error message appears
on LCD ■ Turn the camera off, then on again.
■ Remove the memory card.
■ Turn off the camera. Remove the battery. Wipe the contacts with
a clean, dry cloth.
■ Insert a new or charged battery.
■ If the problem still exists, get help (see page 53 ).
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card ■ Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera ( see
page 33 ).
■ Use another memory card.
