framing it with a tree branch,
a window, or even the rails of
a fence.

Keep the sun behind you.
This provides the best
subject illumination.

Keep your hand, fingers, or objects
away from the flash and picture-
taking lens.

Stand at an angle to shiny surfaces
like windows or mirrors to avoid
flash reflection and bright spots in
your pictures.

USING THE ZOOM LENS

This camera has a motorized zoom
lens that lets you select the ideal lens-
focal length for taking pictures. When
you turn on the camera, the lens is
initially set to the wide-angle position.

1. Press the on/off button (19) to

uncover the lens (7) and to turn on
the camera.

2. Look through the viewfinder
