NOTE: When power is switched on, the pump will activate immediately.
Overheating
Should the pump overheat, it will automatically cut out.
•
Once the thermal overload switch has cooled down (after approx. 10
•
mins), it will reset and automatically switch on.
The possible cause may be due to an obstruction.
•
De-aeration
The pump is equipped with an automatic de-aeration device that will
•
remove air locks that could form in the pump.
If the pump is allowed to draw off water to the bottom of the unit, the
•
pump will have sucked in air, affecting its performance until it is able to
de-aerate.
Should this oocur, disconnect the pump from the mains power.
•
The de-aeration process will only be possible once the water level has
•
risen above the bottom of the pump i.e. when it is no longer able to
suck in air.
The power needs to remain off for a minimum of one minute, then it can
•
be reconnected, when the pump will automatically de-aerate.
Maintenance
Cleaning the filter
The following is the only maintenance that should be carried out by the
end user:
If the pump is dismantled to any degree other than as described below,
•
any claim will be invalidated under warranty.
WARNING: Disconnect the pump from the mains supply before undertaking
this work.
In the event that the suction base (3) becomes blocked, remove the 4
•
crosshead screws from the suction base that will release the base from
the body of the pump.
Check for any obstructions within the exposed area i.e. small stones or
•
gravel. it is suggested you also rinse this area of the base and the mesh
filter with clean water before re-assembling the base. If used to pump
chlorinated water or any liquid with residues, the pump should be rinsed
after use with clean water.
WARNING: Disconnect the product from the mains supply BEFORE any such
work is undertaken. When not in use, protect the pump from frost damage
and store in a dry place. No further disassembly should be undertaken.

Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic
•
