ELECTRICAL INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING – RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK: All electrical connections must be accomplished by a qualified
electrician in accordance with the National Electric Code and any local codes. In addition, a GFCI MUST
protect all branch circuits to the whirlpool, and every electrical component MUST be grounded.
All units are 115v, 60hz, rated 0.09amps.
INTRODUCTION TO OZONE
Ozone (O
3
) is generated by the exposure of oxygen (O
2
) to a high energy electrical discharge. Ozone is a
molecule of oxygen that is formed when three atoms of oxygen are bound together instead of the normal
two atoms. The extra oxygen atom makes the powerful oxidizer and sanitizer readily available.
Since Ozone is unstable and quickly decomposes to normal oxygen under normal conditions, it cannot be
shipped nor stored therefore it must be manufactured on site for immediate use. In normal air it lasts a few
minutes. In normal water it lasts just long enough to purify the water-less than one second.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mount the Ozone generator by either hanging it from the water plumbing and securing it with the
provided zip tie or mount it with screws using the molded in-wall mounting bracket holes.
2. Ensure the check valve is installed with the arrow pointed towards the dedicated Ozone jet. The check
valve permits Ozone to flow in one direction while preventing water from backing up into the Ozone
generator.
3. Designate one jet as an Ozone jet. The air connection must be 3/8” barb. Attach the tubing from the
check valve to the 3/8” barb on the designated Ozone jet.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS OF AIR SWITCH ACTIVATED PUMPS
A. Electrical connection using Current Sensing Box: (See Figure 1)
1. Insert the Ozone generator amp plug into the receptacle on the side of the Current Sensing Box.
2. Insert the pump plug into the receptacle on the Current Sensing Box.
3. Plug the Current Sensing Box into a GFCI protected receptacle
B. Alternate electrical connection using ON/OFF timer box (See Figure 2)
1. Turn the whirlpool pump on and unplug it.
2. Insert the pump plug into the receptacle end of the Ozone generator’s piggy back plug.
3. Install the 1/8” ID tubing from a pneumatic ON/OFF push button to an ON/OFF timer box.
4. Plug the ON/OFF timer box into a GFCI protected receptacle
WARNING-Never plug the Ozone Generator
directly into a wall receptacle!
