Different ways to use the unit
Turning off the
display panel light
Press and hold
.
To turn on the display panel light,
press and hold
until
“LCD LIGHT ON” is displayed.
Even when the display panel
light has been turned off, it
will come back on for about 10
seconds when any of the buttons
is pressed.
Selecting the sound quality
that suits the broadcast

.
Each time this button is
pressed, the position of
“ ” changes.

recommended for

When FM stereo
broadcasts have a
high level of noise
Press and hold
until “MONO” is displayed.
• Monaural sound is now heard and
the level of noise is reduced to
make listening easier.
• Under normal circumstances,
ensure that “MONO” is not
displayed.
• To restore the original setting,
press and hold
again
until “MONO” is not displayed.
Set to this position to
enjoy music.
Set to this position to listen
to news programs.
Set to this position when
high-pitched sound is hard
to hear.
Using the sleep timer

The unit’s power is automatically turned off when the
set time is reached.
Each time the button is pressed, the setting changes in
the following sequence:
30 (minutes) 60 90 120
OFF (released)
To display how much time remains until
the set time

When the power is turned on again, the broadcast station
that was last tuned in when the power was turned off,
will be tuned in.
Listening to sound through
headphones (not included)
• Turn the volume down before connecting the
headphones.
Plug type: 3.5 mm stereo
Avoid listening for prolonged periods of time to prevent
hearing damage.
