3. Read the density altitude over the arrow in
the DENSITY ALTITUDE window.
See Fig-
ure 13.
Figure 13 shows a pressure altitude of 15,000 feet
set opposite an outside air temperature of -15°C. A
calibrated airspeed of 145 knots converts to a true
airspeed of 183 knots and a density altitude of
15,000 feet under these conditions.
