Plug Installation
Do to the wide variety of 240V plug types, the Hot
Max ACDC300/200 is shipped with out a plug. The
user will have to purchase and install a plug. These
welders require a 240V 50 Amp plug.
Please refer to the instructions packaged with the plug
for proper installation. The unit is shipped with a 6’
three conductor power cord with a blue and red hot
conductor and a yellow and green (ground) conductor.
Electrode & Ground Cable Connection
ACDC300/200
The Hot Max ACDC300/200 has four (4) possible set-
tings; 1) Direct Current Electrode Negative (DCEN) -
straight polarity; 2) Direct Current Electrode Positive
(DCEP) - reverse polarity; 3) AC Low; and 4) AC
High.
1. DCEN—Slide a 10mm lock washer and a 10mm
flat washer onto a 10mm bolt and connect the elec-
trode cable to the DC– terminal. Slide a 10mm
lock washer and 10mm flat washer onto a 10mm
bolt and connect the ground clamp to the DC+
terminal.
2. DCEP—Slide a 10mm lock washer and a 10mm
flat washer onto a 10mm bolt and connect the elec-
trode cable to the DC+ terminal. Slide a 10mm
lock washer and 10mm flat washer onto a 10mm
bolt and connect the ground clamp cable to the
DC- terminal.
Location
Place the welder in a location that allows the free flow
of air through the ventilation louvers
Warning
Before connecting the electrode and ground clamp
cables be sure the welder is turned off and discon-
nected from the input power supply.

3. AC Low—Slide a 10mm lock washer and a
10mm flat washer onto a 10mm bolt and con-
nect the electrode cable to the lower AC+
terminal. Slide a 10mm lock washer and 10mm
flat washer onto a 10mm bolt and connect the
ground clamp cable to the AC- terminal.
4. AC High—Slide a 10mm lock washer and a
10mm flat washer onto a 10mm bolt and con-
nect the electrode cable to the upper AC+
terminal. Slide a 10mm lock washer and 10mm
flat washer onto a 10mm bolt and connect the
ground clamp cable to the AC- terminal.
