When MULTIzone is powered on, the previous status of the unit will be restored. If a particular zone of the unit was previously in
RS-232 mode the particular settings for that zone will be restored, e.g. the source input, volume level, or mute. Alternatively, if a
particular zone was in manual panel mode the front controls will become active.
Before a zone can be brought under RS-232 control it must first be switched from manual panel mode to RS232 by using the
“comon” for a particular zone, or the “comen” system wide or unit command (all described above).
Note: the front panel controls will be disabled when the unit is in RS-232 mode. Make sure the required unit zones are brought
out of RS232 by sending the appropriate “comoff” or “comdis” commands.
