stock frame rail, (3) per side and secure using the new 12 mm x 55 mm bolts. Special Note: Make sure to use
thread locker or lock tite and make sure not to tighten at this point. Repeat procedure on the passenger side.
Once all six bolts have been installed, torque the new hardware to 80 ft lbs. and carefully remove the hydraulic floor
jack from under the transfer case cross member. Special Note: Tuff Country EZ-Ride Suspension recommends
not using and air gun when performing this step, if and air gun is used the new bolts may strip.
73. Check and double check to make sure that all steps where performed properly. If you have questions or
concerns, please feel free to contact our Tech department @ Tuff Country EZ-Ride Suspension. Once the installation
is complete, take the vehicle directly to an alignment shop for a proper front end alignment.
Torque Settings:
5/16” 15 - 18 ft lbs.
3/8” 28 - 32 ft lbs.
7/16” 30 - 35 ft lbs.
1/2” 65 - 85 ft lbs.
9/16” 85 - 120 ft lbs.
5/8” 95 - 130 ft lbs.
3/4” 100 - 140 ft lbs.
Also refer to the Vehicle owners manual for proper torque specifications on
any stock hardware.
