Installation of MBRP Inc. Performance Exhaust:
1. Slide two 2 ¼” Band Clamps over the remaining factory
exhaust pipes. Install the Y- Pipe using the 2 ¼” Band Clamps
leaving them loose enough for some adjustment.
Refer to Figure 5.
2. Slide a 2 ½” Band Clamp over the Y-Pipe and install the
Extension Pipe. The bend in the Extension Pipe should be
directed towards the passenger side of the vehicle.
Refer to Figure 6.
3. Slide a 2 ½” Band Clamp over the Extension Pipe and install
the Resonator. Refer to Figure 7.
4. Slide a 2 ½” Band Clamp over the Resonator and slide the
appropriate end of the Tail Pipe, into the Resonator. Install the
Tail Pipe hangers to the existing rubber insulators. Refer to
Figure 8.
5. Using the remaining 2 ½” Band Clamp install the Muffler & Tip
Assembly to the Tail Pipe. Insert the hanger on the Muffler & Tip
Assembly into the existing rubber insulator. Refer to Figure 9.
6. Align the exhaust as required. Starting at the Muffler & Tip
Assembly of the exhaust, tighten all clamps and connections. Check
along the whole length of the exhaust system to ensure that there is
adequate clearance around the fuel and brake lines or any wiring. If any
interference is detected relocate or adjust.
