3. Install the Muffler over the required Extension Pipe so that the exhaust will
flow smoothly over the louvers. Refer to Figure 4.
4. Install the Hanger Clamp into the OEM rubber insulator located on the
frame near the inlet of the Muffler. Refer to Figure 5. Some models may
require relocating the Hanger Clamp along the Extension Pipe. As a result, a
Clamp will be required at the Muffler inlet.
5. Install the Muffler hangers into the two OEM rubber insulators located
above the outlet of the Muffler. Refer to Figure 5.
6. Remove the factory rubber insulator for the factory tail pipe and install it
onto the Tail Pipe hanger. Install the Tail Pipe from the rear of the truck, over
the axle and attach to the outlet of the Muffler. Finish hanging the Tail Pipe
by reattaching the rubber insulator.
7. Install the provided Clamps around pipes where needed. Adjust the Tail
Pipe and check along the whole length of the exhaust system to ensure there is
adequate clearance around the fuel and brake lines or any wiring. If any
interference is detected relocate or adjust. Refer to Figure 6.
8. Install and adjust the Exhaust Tip to suit. Using a 17mm wrench tighten the
bolt located on the Exhaust Tip.
9. Make sure that the exhaust is properly in place before tightening clamps.
Start at the front of the exhaust system and begin tightening all connections.
