c. Install or remove 1 x 18650 Li-ion battery or 2 x CR123 batteries inside the body of the
light. Make sure to follow the instructions diagrams printed on the interior of the battery
compartment and note that batteries should be installed with their positive ends pointed
towards the LED head.
d. Re-install the LED head on the opening, carefully aligning it with the thread on the body of
the light and tightening it evenly in a counterclockwise fashion all the way to the end. Do
not use force and do not allow it to screw down unevenly.
e. It is recommended to occasionally apply a slight amount of silicone grease to the black O-
ring seal found below the threads of the body of the light prior to replacing the LED head.
f. Install the hand lanyard on the light by inserting it through the Hand Lanyard Insert Slot on
the back of the light, then pulling it through itself and testing it in order to make sure it is
secure.
B. Turning the BlueRay Action Video Light On/Off
a. In order to switch the light on, push and hold the power switch button for a second. Take
special care not to stare into the light beam or shine it into the eyes of anyone else,
because the light is powerful and could damage ones’ eyes.
b. When the BlueRay Action Video Light is turned on, the colorful light around the power
switch button serves as a battery indicator and shows the battery charge level:
i. Green (100%-60% power)
ii. Yellow (60%-30% power)
iii. Red (30%-15% power)
iv. Flashing Red (15%-1% power)
c. In order to switch the light back off, push and hold the power switch button for 3 seconds.
The light flashes 3 times and then turns off.
d. Note that the BlueRay Action Video Light features 5 power output modes in the following
order: 100% power output, 50% power output, 30% power output, SOS signal and fast
flashing mode. Once the light is turned on, in order to switch between the power output
modes, simply push the power switch button. Each time the power switch is pushed, the
power mode is altered according to the order of power modes as listed above.
C. Mounting the BlueRay Action Video Light on an Arm
a. An optional BlueRay YS Mount A (Cat. No. 4028) enables mounting the BlueRay Action
Video Light on any arm or connector that features a standard YS Mount at the top, such as
on Fantasea Flex Arms.
b. In order to install the BlueRay YS Mount A on the BlueRay Action Video Light, first apply a
slight amount of silicone grease on the two O-rings featured on the interior of the YS
Mount without removing them. This will allow for a smoother installation.
c. Remove the hand lanyard from the light.
d. Install the YS Mount by sliding it on the body of the light, starting from its rear end and all
the way towards the LED head, till it reaches a widening and can no longer be slid forward.
e. If you want to re-install the hand lanyard on the back on the light, then you can do this
now.
f. Remove the screw from the bottom of the YS Mount by unscrewing it all the way out.
g. Position the BlueRay Action Video Light over the arm so that the YS Mount on top of the
arm is aligned with the YS Mount at the bottom of the LED light.
