Find it
Your FIND IT
™
Locator Keyfob
requires only 3 simple steps to begin
using it:
1. Remove the battery tab.
2. Set the ITEM #.
3. Attach the Locator to an item.
3. Attaching the FOFA
Each Keyfob includes a key ring. In addition, a
plastic lanyard or doublesided tape can also be used
to attach the Keyfob to any object that you could lose.
Using the Keyfob to Find Lost Items
To find a misplaced object with a Keyfob attached to
it, simply locate one of your other Keyfobs and press
the button corresponding to the missing unit (1 thru
6). If the object is in range, the Keyfob on the missing
object will begin to flash and beep. You can use any
Keyfob to locate any other Keyfob.
For best results, hold the Keyfob with the LED
pointing away from you. Walk around while trying to
find the item you’re looking for while repeatedly
pressing the appropriate button on the Keyfob.
Occasionally it may be necessary to press the number
on the Keyfob more than once even when the lost
item is within range due to interference or other
factors.
Keep the Keyfob away from large metal objects and
other radios sources that might reduce its range, as do
weak batteries.
Reduce or eliminate noises so you can hear the
beeping you are looking for.
The maximum distance the lost item can be from the
Keyfob is about 30 ft. Therefore, it may be necessary
to walk to various points in your home in order for it
to function.
Checking Your Setup
You can verify the ITEM # of each Keyfob by
pressing and holding the 5 and 6 keys simultaneously,
until the LED lights up, then release. The LED flashes
and beeps to indicate the ITEM #. For example, if the
Keyfob you are checking is defined as ITEM # 4, you
would hear 4 beeps.

2. Setting the ITEM #
FIND IT locators are expandable to 6 unique locators.
If you just inserted the battery, (or removed the
insulating tab) you are already in setup mode (LED
flashes continuously). To enter the setup mode at any
other time, press and hold the 1 and 3 buttons
simultaneously for about 3 seconds. A warble beep is
emitted and the LED flashes continuously.
To set the ITEM # for the Keyfob:
• Enter setup mode as above (LED flashing
continuously).
• Press a button (1 thru 6) to program the ITEM #.
The Keyfob beeps the number of times corresponding
to the ITEM #.
Important, if you also own a FIND IT Remote, and
you used the default code of 1 for it, then you will
need to set your Find IT Keyfobs to something other
than code 1, i.e. 2 thru 6.
Important Notes:
A Keyfob or a Remote cannot find a Remote or a
Keyfob that is set to the same code as itself.
After setting the ITEM #, wait about 20 seconds
before testing the Keyfob.
Removing the battery will cause your Keyfob to lose
its setting. You will need to reprogram it using the
steps above.
Care Instructions
- Do not allow the Keyfob to become wet. Wipe dry
immediately if it gets wet.
- It may be wiped with a damp cloth to clean.
- Handle with care. Do not drop.
