POWER STRIP:
This eight outlet tap is rated at 15 amps total. Combined
load must not exceed 15 amps or 1875 watts. Use only
in dry indoor locations. Not for use with aquariums. The
15 amp 125 volt AC 8-outlet strip plugs into any 3-wire
grounding wall outlet and provides eight outlets that will
accept either 2-blade non-grounding plugs or 3-blade
grounding. The handy, built-inmaster switch/circuit
breaker allows you to turn power to all outlets ON or OFF,
and will interrupt power in case of an overload condition
(when outlets are set to be powered).
NOTE: This device is not a surge suppressor and will not
afford protection in the event of power surges.
INSTRUCTIONS:
When the device is plugged in and the master switch is
on, the timer’s dial will turn clockwise. The arrowhead on
the face of the timer points to the current time of day.
1. Locate the segments on the edge of the timer’s dial.
Each of these segments equals 15 minutes. For easy
setting, use a pen or pencil to pull the segments up. To
select the hours you want the fixture turned ON, push
down the segments within these hours on the dial. For
example, to have the timer turn on a fixture between
6 PM and 8 PM and then again between 10 PM and 2
AM, push down all the segments between 6 PM and 8
PM, and between 10 PM and 2AM on the timer’s dial.
2. Rotate the timer’s dial clockwise until the arrowhead
on the face points to the current time of day. Note: AM
and PM are marked on the dial.
3. Set the timer switch at the side of power strip to the
TIMER ON position.
4. Plug the power strip into an electrical outlet conve-
nient to the fixture to be controlled.
5. Plug the fixture into a timed outlet. Turn the fixture’s
switch ON for automatic control. The timer will not
turn the fixture on if the fixture’s switch and/or power
strip switch is OFF. The fixture will now turn on and off
at the times you have set.
NOTE: To override the timer and use your fixture normal-
ly, set the timer switch to the OUTLET ON position. This
will deactivate the timer’s control of the fixture, but the
timer’s dial will still show the current time of day.
To reactivate the timer’s control of the fixture, turn the
fixture’s switch ON and set the timer’s switch to TIMER
ON. In case of power failure, or after turning on the
master switch, reset the time of day as explained in
step 2.
