Programming a Meter Reading
The Program function is used in two ways: to clear a tamper condition, or to reset the
meter reading in a Badger ORION transmitter if it is incorrect.
To perform either function, first perform the Read function. Next, compare the register
odometer value with the value reported by the transmitter. If they are different, enter the
register odometer value in the New Read field. If you entered a reading of 5789, the
screen might look like this.
Next, click the Program Odometer button. The Tamper condition will be cleared and the
new reading value will be sent to the transmitter. Automatically, a second Read function
will be performed, and the results will be displayed on the screen. (This is done so that,
if the tamper condition still exists, the transmitter will report it.) In our example above,
the result of the programming function would be displayed like this.
