fully protected. The RED light indicates faulty site wiring
which needs to be inspected. This fault relates to the wir-
ing connected to the wall output. Fault conditions that
would be indicated by the RED light include reverse hot
and neutral leads, missing safety ground and voltage in
excess of 165 volts for over 3 seconds.
Important: if the RED light comes on, for protection pur-
poses, the RX unit will not provide power to connected
equipment. Once the fault has been corrected the GREEN
light will come on and power will be applied to connected
equipment.
Do not attempt to repair faulty wiring. Contact a licensed
electrician.
Some RX Series products are equipped with RJ style con-
nectors that can provide protection for telephone/modem
lines or ethernet data network lines.
5. Plug any source telephone/modem cables into the com-
bination RJ11/RJ45 connector marked “LINE”. Plug the de-
vice to be protected into the connector marked ”DEVICE”.
6. Use standard CAT5 cable when using the Network pro-
tected RJ45 circuit.
