INSTALLATION
1. Cut a 2” round hole in duct or plenum with a hole saw or
duct knife for insertion of the UV lamp.
2. Insert the lamp into the hole. Magnets on the mounting
plate will hold the UV lamp assembly secure – no screws
are necessary. If mounting on ductboard, secure unit
with tape, or cut a piece of sheet metal 4” x 4” and cut 2”
hole in middle. Tape sheet metal plate to ductboard
and insert lamp through holes.
3. Attach power supply in a suitable location and connect the
power supply to 24VAC power.
The MicrobeSwatter
®
SweetShot requires a 50 VA
Transformer to correctly power ultraviolet lamp air
purifier.
4. Connect lamp cable from power supply to lamp.
5. If mounting inside duct, order AGMGF magnetic mounting
bracket (accessory not included). Attach UV lamp assembly
to mounting bracket and attach bracket (with magnet on
backside) to any metal surface – no screws are necessary.
The MicrobeSwatter
®
SweetShot is designed for air
disinfection, deodorization and surface irradiation and installs
into the air handling system or ductwork. Select a mounting
location that offers sufficient space for the mounting plate
3” x 3” and enough internal space for the UV lamp – 16”. In
addition, allow for sufficient space for removal (pulling out) of
the 16.25” lamp assembly. Installation also requires access to
24 VAC electrical power.
• Do not install where UV lamp is visible
• Do not install in outdoor applications
• Do not expose wiring or plastic to UV light
• Do not install beneath a humidifier
• If installed near an air filter, check with the filter
manufacturer for UV properties & safety.
• The unit can be installed in either the return or
supply air side for for air stream disinfection
or mounted anywhere surface irradiation is needed.
