7.3 Replacing the Snap-in Pad Module
After scanning approximately 100,000 pages through the ADF,
the pad may be worn out and you may experience problems
with document feeding. In this case, it is highly recommended
to replace the pad module with a new one. For ordering the
pad module, please consult your nearest dealer and follow the
procedure below to replace it.
Disassembling Procedure
1. Use your left thumb to pull the ADF Release Button on the
top of the ADF (auto document feeder) unit.
2. Gently open the ADF front cover to the left.
3. Use your right thumb to push the ADF pad module to the
right as illustrated to remove it.
Assembling Procedure
1. Locate the position of the ADF pad module (beneath the
ADF Release Button button).
2. Place the ADF pad module into the holes until it snaps
into place.
