Caring for Your Speakers
In outdoor applications, we recommend angling the speakers downward
as shown in Figure 1 to reduce exposure to precipitation and hot sun. If
added protection is desired, mount speakers under eaves or other shel-
ter. DO NOT immerse the speakers in water or subject them to direct
water pressure. During winter months, we recommend storing the speak-
ers indoors if you are not using them.
TO CLEAN: All NXG weather-resistant enclosures can be cleaned with
a damp soft cloth and a mild detergent. The aluminum grille can also be
cleaned with the same cloth
Troubleshooting and Service
The NXG speaker is equipped with a tweeter protection device. If
extreme power levels are reached, it will reduce the amount of power
going into the tweeter. If you detect reduced output levels from the speak-
er while playing at a high volume, it is a warning that too much power is
being applied. You must reduce the level by turning down the volume of
your receiver to a safe level or permanent speaker damage may result. It
is important to remember that no amount of protection will prevent dam-
age caused by defective equipment or extreme abuse.
If you should have a problem, first try to determine if it is indeed a
speaker problem. Determine whether the problem exists in both speakers.
If it does, the problem most likely originates in some other components in
the system. If the problem is in one speaker only, reverse your speaker
leads (left to right, right to left). If the problem moves to the other speak-
er, your problem is not in the speakers.
Once you have determined that you have a speaker problem, contact
your dealer for authorized factory service information. If you are unable to
contact your dealer, if your dealer is unable to solve your problem, or if you
have any questions or comments regarding your NXG Speaker System,
please contact us at the address or phone number below.
Specifications
NXG Speakers Two -Year Limited Warranty
If the NXG speaker system proves to be defective in workmanship or materials
within two years from the date of the original customer’s purchase, we will, at
our option, repair or replace the defective product.
Limitation of Implied Warranties
Any implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a
particular purpose, are limited in duration to the length of this warranty.
Exclusion of Certain Damages
NXG’s liability for any defective product is limited to repair or replacement of the
product. NXG shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any
kind or character for any reason. Some states do not allow limitations on how
long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions
may not apply.
Warranties do not cover electrical or mechanical damage resulting from misuse
or abuse, lack of reasonable care, damage due to force majeure or natural forces,
or inadequate repairs performed by unauthorized service centers. Wear of parts
due to normal use is not covered by this warranty. Shipment of the defective item
for repair under this warranty will be at the customer's own risk and expense. This
warranty is valid for the original purchaser as the final user only.
Warranty Service
Warranty service must be performed by an authorized service center, usually an
NXG speaker systems dealer or its authorized agent. You may obtain a list of
authorized service centers by contacting NXG. All warranty repairs must be
accompanied by the original bill of
sales. No other document is accept-
able or is required. This warranty
gives you specific legal rights, and
you may also have other rights which
vary from state to state. NXG
reserves the right to revise speaker
system specifications without notice.
