Installing the Chatter Notification Engine
The install files for the Chatter Notification Engine is on the
location:
CNS\Server2008R2
Chatter - Notification Service
Copy this folder and its content to this location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MJK
Automation
The target folder will look like this.
The configuration file for the Chatter Notification Engine must be
modified to tell Chatter Notification Engine which database it will
use.
Open this file in a text-editor:
C:\Program Files\MJK Automation\
Chatter - Notification Service
cnsNotificationEngineGlobalConfig.xml
Remove the comments in the two lines surrounding the
database, you are using. The comments are
The center image shows what the file must look like if you are
using a Microsoft SQL server 2008 R2.
The bottom image shows what the file must look like if you are
using a Microsoft SQL server 2008 R2 Express Edition
Save and close the file.
Chatter Notification Engine must be installed as a Windows
Service.
Double-click the file cnsServiceInstall.cmd
Chatter Notification Engine is installed as a Windows Service.
This window closes when the installation is done.
