REAR AIR SPRING FOR

AIR SPRING REMOVAL
1.
SET STEERING TO STRAIGHT AHEAD.
2.
RAISE VEHICLE.
3.
REMOVE REAR WHEEL.
4.
LOCATE THE AIR COMPRESSOR BEHIND THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL.
5.
REMOVE THE TWO LOWER MOUNTING BOLTS FROM THE COMPRESSOR MOUNTING PLATE. LIFT UPWARD
ON THE COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY AND UNHOOK THE UNIT FROM THE FRAME RAIL.
6.
DEFLATE REAR AIR SPRING AND PULL DOWNWARD TO REMOVE IT FROM THE AXLE. THE AIR SPRING IS
HELD FROM TURNING WITH A PLASTIC CLIP ON THE TOP OF THE AIR SPRING. YOU MAY HAVE TO HOLD THE
PLASTIC CLIP DOWN WHILE ROTATING THE AIR SPRING TO FREE IT FROM THE UPPER SPRING SEAT.
7.
DISCONNECT THE AIR LINE FROM THE AIR SPRING BY PRESSING DOWN ON THE STEEL FITTING WHILE
PULLING OUTWARD ON THE AIR LINE.
8.
CAREFULLY REMOVE AIR SPRING FROM THE VEHICLE.
9.
SEAL OFF AIR LINE TO PREVENT ANY DIRT OR GREASE FROM ENTERING SYSTEM.

• Removal and installation is only to be performed by fully qualified personnel.
• Use car manufacturer’s diagnostic software.

Damage to the vehicle and air suspension system can be incurred if work is carried out in a manner other than specified
in the instructions or in a different sequence.
To avoid the possibility of short circuits while working with electric components consult your owner's manual on how to
disconnect your battery.
Consult your vehicle owner's manual, service manual, or car dealer for the correct jacking points on your vehicle and for
additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath
the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.
