Preparing your Notebook PC
These are only quick instructions for using your Notebook PC. Read the later pages for detailed infor-
mation on using your Notebook PC.
1. Install the battery pack
1. Insert the battery pack until it clicks into place.
2. Slide the lock to the position.
2. Connect the AC Power Adapter
1. Connect this end of the power cord to the
AC-DC converter.
2. Plug the “AC Power Cord” into an electrical
outlet (110V - 240V).
3. Insert the DC Power Plug.
3. Open the Display Panel
Press the power button and release. In
Windows XP, this button can also be used
to safely turn OFF the Notebook PC.
(1) Slide the display release button, (2) lift the
display panel with one hand while holding the
system portion with your other hand.
4. Turn ON the Notebook PC
