Hard Disk Drive Compartment
The hard disk drive is secured in a compartment. Hard disk drive upgrades are to be done by authorized
service centers or dealers only.
Battery Lock
The battery is held by a spring lock. The spring loaded latch automatically locks the battery pack when
inserted. Holding this in the unlock position will allow battery removal. Usage details are described in
the battery section later in this manual.
Battery Pack
The battery pack is actually combined with the Notebook PC’s surface in order to reduce thickness.
When the battery is released, the surface and battery pack will be seen as a single unit. The battery pack
cannot be further disassembled and must be replaced as a single unit.
Audio Speaker (Right)
This is for the other audio channel in order to produce stereo sound.
Name Card Holder
The name card holder allows you to place a card representing the owner of the Notebook PC.
Device Module Lock
The device module lock keeps the device module in place. Hold it in the unlock position to remove a
device module.
Audio Speaker (Left)
The built-in speaker allows you to hear audio without additional attachments. The multimedia sound
system features an integrated digital audio controller that produces rich, vibrant sound (results im-
proved with external stereo headphones or speakers). All audio features are software controlled.
Audio DJ Power Switch
The Audio DJ power switch turns ON or OFF the Audio DJ player.
Shut Down Button
The shut down button is used for turning OFF the Notebook PC if or turning OFF
the power does not respond. To use this function, momentarily depress the button within the hole with a pen
or paper clip and the Notebook PC will turn OFF. Do not use a pencil since the tip may break off in the hole.

Device Module
This Notebook PC features a module bay to accept a removable module device. Examples of module
devices are optical (CD/DVD/RW) drives and second battery packs. More device modules are being
developed by this manufacturer and maybe some third parties.
