Peak Walkaround Assembly
Installing Peak Walkaround
A. While on the ground, for a 7' or 9' diameter walkaround, assemble two (2) intermediate walkaround
platforms together using two (2) 5/16" x 3/4" bolts through each side flange to create a section.
Assemble three (3) more of these sections. NOTE: One (1) section will include using the entry
walkaround platform.
B. While on the ground, for a 10' or 13' 6" diameter walkaround, assemble three (3) intermediate
walkaround platforms together using two (2) 5/16" x 3/4" bolts through each side flange to create a
section. Assemble two (2) more of these sections for the 10' and three (3) more for the 13' 6".
NOTE: One (1) section will include using the entry walkaround platform.
(See Figure 1.)
C. After sections are assembled on the ground, place them on the bin roof and fasten the assembled
sections together using two (2) 5/16" x 3/4" bolts to form a ring. Make sure to place the entry platform
at the roof stairs or ladder.
(See Figure 2.) NOTE: The entry walkaround is the section with the
downturned flange on the outer edge. (See Figure 1.)
D. Center the walkaround on the bin. Fasten the walkaround to the roof by using at least two (2)
1/4" x 1" self drilling screws through the flange on the inside diameter of the walkaround where they
make contact to a roof rib.
E. Attach the walkaround posts (STR0016) where the platforms meet each other using two (2)
5/16" x 3/4" bolts. (See Figure 2.) There should be eight (8) posts for 7' and 9', nine (9) posts for 10'
and twelve (12) for the 13' 6" diameter walkarounds.
F. Fasten the roof mounting bracket to the handrail post using 5/16" x 3/4" bolts through the adjustment
holes closest to the end of the bracket that allow the bracket to set firmly against the bin roof.
G. Fasten the short handrails between the handrail posts and entry posts using 5/16" x 3/4" bolts.
Fasten the rest of the handrails to the handrail posts using 5/16" x 3/4". (See Figure 2.)
H. Attach the post mounting bracket to the roof using two (2) 1/4" x 1" self drilling screws.
