6. Battery
Low battery detection
 The siren has a low battery detection system.
 Low battery detection operates where the siren has enough power to typically operate for 1 month
before complete exhaustion.
 When battery is low, the siren will sound 5 beeps when you arm or disarm the system.
Replacing the batteries
1. On the control panel, disable tamper protection:
o Enter program mode.
o Go to Devices+/-.
o Select Program Siren and press OK.
o Select Siren Tamp. Off
2. On the siren, remove the screw and the cover.
The battery compartment is a large box in the siren with a lid secured with 4 screws.
3. Remove the four screws and take off the compartment lid.
4. Remove the batteries and press the tamper switch to discharge.
5. Slide the power switch on the PCB board to OFF.
6. Insert new batteries (always use the correct battery type: see Technical specifications below). Make
sure the polarity is correct.
7. The siren will beep when the last battery is inserted.
8. Put back the battery lid and fasten it with the screws.
9. On the control panel, enable tamper protection:
In the Program Siren menu (see step 1), select Select Siren Tamp. On and press OK.
WARNING

Do not puncture or throw batteries in fire as they might explode.
 Keep batteries away from children.
7. Using the dip switches
The siren can be programmed with dip switches (on the PCB board inside the siren). The
DIP Switch is either ON or OFF. Top position indicates ON and bottom position indicates
OFF. The function of each dip switch is listed as table below.
Siren learning switch 1 OFF Normal operation
ON Learn-in mode
[Reserved] switch 2 OFF only Always leave switch on the OFF position.
Siren duration switch 3 switch 4
OFF OFF 3 min.
ON OFF 5 min.
OFF ON 10 min.
