ACR&Artex Firefly Plus - Manual

The Firefly Plus TM is a dual purpose waterproof light.
One end is a flashlight and the other end is a flashing strobe.
The strobe can be seen about 1 mile (approx. 2 km) away on a clear night.
HOW TO LOAD BATTERIES:
1. Unscrew the strobe cover (counter-clockwise) from the body.
2. Take out the battery holder using a finger to pull it out, as per diagram.
3. Insert 2 AA size Alkaline batteries in the holder according to
the polarity signs in the holder.
4. Replace the holder into the body by following the arrow signs on
the holder and body. There is a rib in the body for the holder to slide
into the body.
5. Rescrew the strobe cover (clockwise) back to the body.
ON/OFF SWITCH:
The Firefly Plus TM features a magnetic switch which is waterproof.
Turn the switch ring to the right side with a " "mark and the strobe
will be switched ON and flash. Turn the switch ring to the left with
the sign of " " and the flashlight will be switched ON. The OFF position
is between these two signs.
REMARKS:
1. The strobe tube, flashlight bulb and the reed switch inside this
light are all made of glass, which may be damaged by impact.
2. Remove batteries if storing for an extended period of time.
3. Before use, please check to determine whether they are in
good condition. If the light of the strobe becomes dull and
yellowish in color, batteries have run down and do not have
enough power; replace batteries.
4. Do not attempt to touch flashing strobe circuit due to possible injury.
5. Lubricate the entire O-ring with silicone-based grease prior
to closing, to ensure a water-tight seal. Do not use petroleum
base grease.
