• In some products the replacement by the user of the flexible cord is not intended. Special tools
are required to disassemble the product or replace the cord. Return the complete product to
the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the product. No user serviceable
parts inside. Return all servicing to an authorized service facility.
Specific safety requirements of the grill
• Always attach the thermostat power lead to the grill before plugging the lead into the mains
outlet.
• Do not use the grill without the base fitted.
• Always use the base to collect fats and oils.
• Do not immerse the thermostat power lead into water or any other liquid.
• Do not touch grill / griddle plates — always use the handles.
• The grill / griddle plate will get hot during use and will remain hot for a period of time after use.
• Before taking the grill to the table to serve, remove the thermostat power lead.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot
liquids.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
• Always use plastic, rubber or wooden utensils when cooking or serving. If using metal utensils,
be careful not to scrape the non stick finish.
• We do not recommend this unit for defrosting food.
