Controlling iPod using the OSD
Once your iPod is stationed in the YAMAHA iPod
universal dock, you can perform the operations of
your iPod using the supplied remote control with the
aid of the OSD menu. You can also browse the songs
stored on your iPod in the OSD menu.
– Operations can not be done with the controls on your iPod.
– The YAMAHA background appears in the display
window of your iPod.
– You cannot browse the photos or video clips stored on
your iPod using the OSD of this DVD receiver.
– The music menu items shown on the iPod menu may
differ depending on the disc.
– If the connection between your iPod and this DVD
receiver fails, “NOT DOCKED” appears in the front
panel display.
– When you operate your iPod using the OSD menu of this
DVD receiver, “All” folder is not displayed.
– If the song you want to play is not found in the music
menu items, select it from “Songs”.
Remote control functions
1 Press INPUT on the front panel or DOCK on the
remote control repeatedly until “DOCKED” appears
in the front panel display.
→ The iPod menu appears on the TV screen.
2 Use / or ENTER (OK) to move the cursor to
select the desired music menu item from the following
options.
• Playlists > Songs
• Artists > Album > Songs
• Album > Songs
• Songs
• Genres > Artists > Albums > Songs
• Composers > Albums > Songs
3 Press h to start playback.
To return to the previous menu
• Press MENU.
Shuffle
Use this feature to set this DVD receiver to play songs
or albums in a random order.
• Press SHUFFLE to turn on the shuffle mode.
→
“SHUFFLE” appears on your TV.
To exit from the shuffle mode
• Press SHUFFLE again.
This function is only available when your iPod is set to the
shuffle mode.
Repeat
Use this feature to set this DVD receiver to repeat one
song or a sequence of songs.
• Press REPEAT repeatedly to select from REPEAT
ONE, REPEAT ALL, and REPEAT OFF.

The selected mode appears on your TV.
REPEAT ONE: set this DVD receiver to repeat one song.
REPEAT ALL: set this DVD receiver to repeat a
sequence of songs.
To exit from the repeat mode
• Press REPEAT repeatedly to select REPEAT OFF.
