The Merge 2 x 2 has a built-in “Panic Button” which will
send “all notes off” messages and zero all MIDI con-
trollers and pitch wheels. This feature is activated by
powering down the Merge 2 x 2 and then powering it
back up again. This can be done either by turning off
the power of both instruments connected to the 2 x 2’s
MIDI Ins and then turning them on again, or by discon-
necting and then reconnecting both MIDI cables
plugged into the Merge 2 x 2’s MIDI Ins. IMPORTANT:
When powering down the Merge 2x2 in this fashion
make sure power remains off for at least 5 seconds
