If problems arise with the appliance and you are unable to solve them with
the information below, please contact a Philips service centre.

The power-on light does not
go on and the humidifier does
not work.
The humidifier is not (properly)
connected to the mains.
Make sure the plug is properly
inserted into the wall socket and
make sure the socket is live.
The power-on light is on, but
no mist comes out of the mist
outlet.
The water tank is empty or the
water level is too low.
Fill the water tank with fresh water.
The setting is too low.
Try a higher setting.
The humidifier is standing on an
unstable surface.
Place the humidifier on a smooth,
flat and stable surface.
The humidifier produces
an unpleasant smell.
The humidifier is new.
Remove the cap of the water tank
and leave the tank open in a cold
place for at least 12 hours.
The water in the water tank is
not clean or has been left in the
water tank too long.
Clean the water tank and fill it with
fresh water.
The power-on light is on but
the humidifier does not work.
There is too much water in
water basin.
Drain the water from water basin.
Tighten the cap of the water
tank firmly.
The humidifier does not
produce enough mist.
There is scale on the steam
generator.
Descale the steam generator.
The water in the water tank
is dirty or has been left in the
water tank too long.
Clean the water tank and fill it with
fresh water.
The humidifier produces
strange noises when it is on.
Stop using the humidifier and
contact a Philips service centre.
