with terrain awareness and low airways
AvMap GeoPilot and GeoPilotPLUS are compact
aeronautical GPS units, combining a large, bright,
colour screen with pilot-friendly features. The PLUS
version features LOW LEVEL AIRSPACE and TAWS
(Terrain Awareness Warning System): the situational
awareness is unbeatable! The large control buttons
and the unique thumb stick cursor control make
navigating through menus and flight plan
programming easy. The map page is fully customisable
displaying map only, map with data fields or map with
split screen HSI/RMI display. The unit as standard has
a Jeppesen database preloaded on the CF memory
card. GeoPilot can also read terrestrial AvMap maps: a
2GB CF preloaded with Terrestrial maps converts
GeoPilot into a car navigator! The unit operates on 10-
35v power supply (cigarette lighter); an optional
GoPak auxiliary battery pack lasting up to 10 hours is
available.
