Interior lighting

Front seat lighting
1. Reading lamp left-hand, On/Off
2. Passenger compartment lighting front
and rear
3. Reading lamp right-hand, On/Off
Switch (2) has three positions for the interior
lighting:
• Off (0) – right-hand side depressed, auto-
matic lighting off.
• Neutral position – interior lighting comes
on when a door is opened and goes out
when the door is closed. The dimmer
function is active.
• On – left-hand side depressed, passenger
compartment lighting on.
The reading lamps can be switched on in ig-
nition position I and II as well as when the en-
gine is running. They can also be activated
within 30 minutes after the engine has been
switched off or when one of the doors has
been opened/closed.
Rear seat lighting
Switched on or off with one press of the but-
ton.
Automatic lighting
The passenger compartment lighting is
switched on and off automatically when
button (2) is in neutral position.
The passenger compartment lighting is
switched on and remains on for 30 seconds
if:
• the car is unlocked from the outside with
the key or remote control
• the engine is stopped and the ignition key
is turned to position 0
The passenger compartment lighting is
switched off when:
• the engine is started.
• the car is locked from the outside with the
key or remote control
The passenger compartment lighting comes
on and remains on for 5 minutes if one of the
doors is open.
The passenger compartment lighting can be
switched on or off within 30 minutes from the
time that the key is turned to position 0, us-
ing button (2). The lighting remains on for
5 minutes if it is not switched off.
