Press ADJUST (or / ) to select the type of
set top box connected to this recorder.
If you do not connect a set top box, select “Not used”
then press ENTER button. Skip to step 9.
C.Box: When a cable box is connected.
DBS: When a satellite system is connected.

Press ADJUST (or / ) to select the way the
signal will be input from the set top box.
3CH : For type A connection with the output channel
number 3 of the set top box.
4CH : For type A connection with the output channel
number 4 of the set top box.
Line1 : For type B connection via the INPUT1 jacks
using the audio/video cable.
Line3 : For type B connection via the INPUT3 jacks
using the audio/video cable.

select “Off” or “On”.
Off : Channels of the set top box are selected by its
own selector. Skip to step 9.
On : The recorder can change channels of the set
top box.
(Be sure to make the connection to the
CHANNEL CHANGE IR jack (
page 25). If
you make timer program recording, keep the set
top box powered on to have it receive
commands from the recorder.)
