Trouble-
shooting
Problem Check Solution
Cleaner will
not run
• Not plugged in
properly.
• Wall outlet is
faulty.
• The power cable
is damaged.
• Be sure steamer is
firmly plugged into
wall outlet.
• Check electrical
source – fuse or
circuit breaker.
• If power cable is
damaged, contact
Oreck for service.
Steam is not
emitted when
the steam
cleaner is ON.
• Water tank is
empty.
• Hard water filter
is clogged.
• The steam switch
is not activated
properly.
• Fill water tank.
• Change water filter.
• Pull the trigger on
the handle to release
steam.
Unit still does
not operate
properly.
Check all the above
points. Contact Oreck for
service.
Service problems that appear to be major can often be solved

authorized service center.
