Determining the Elapsed Tape
Running Time (ELAPSED)

The counter reads [0:00] "ELAPSED''
when the power is first turned on.
1. Insert a cassette.
2. Press the T-SIZE button to set

the size of the cassette to be
used.
Each press of the T-SIZE button
advances the Tape Size indicator in
order from C46 to C50, C54, C60, C64,
C70, C74, C90, C100, C120 and then
back to C46.

3. Press the ELAP/REMA button to

switch the Real Time Counter to
the "ELAPSED'' (elapsed) time
mode.

4. To return the counter to [0:00],

press the RESET button.

5. Begin tape transport in the

record or play mode.
The counter will begin counting the
elapsed time. (If you turn the cassette
over without resetting the counter, the
total time including the first side will be
displayed.)
The two digits on the left display
minutes and the two digits on the right
display seconds.
