The optional RCA HD/Digital Receiver has a built-in DIRECTV receiver and is an essential
part of the plasma entertainment experience, providing a wide variety of digital programming
options. Specifically, the DTC100 accepts all local digital programming, as well as local
analog broadcasts and analog cable. When combined with a DSA8900E multi-satellite dish
antenna (sold separately), you’ll have access to over 225 channels of digital-quality entertainment
from DIRECTV and access to DIRECTV ® high-definition programming (DIRECTV ® programming
sold separately). The DTC100 digital receiver not only puts digital entertainment possibilities
into the plasma picture—it also makes an impact with digital sound capability. The receiver offers
5.1-channel Dolby Digital 2 Surround Sound capability with up to five full channels and a sixth
low-frequency-effects (subwoofer) channel.
