Connect to a receiver or amplifier m with 6-Ω impedance for the
front, center, surround and surround back speakers.
Before connection
Turn off the other equipment.
Do not connect the AC mains lead until all other cables and cords
are connected.
Twist off the tip of the cable to a length of approximately 15 mm.
Connect the front A , C and center speakers B with the
short cables n (not included) and the surround D , E ,
surround back G speakers with the long cables o (not
included).
Be sure to connect only positive cables q to positive (+)
terminals and negative cables r to negative (–) terminals.
Connection to the SB-PF800
• To enjoy an enhanced sound experience, we recommend
connecting positive cables to the positive (+) HF terminal and
negative cables to the negative (–) LF terminal.
• Do not remove the shorting bars p .
If using a commercially-available 4-mm plug cable s .
Fully tighten the speaker terminal knob, and then insert the end
of the plug cable into the top of the knob.
CAUTION
Never short-circuit positive (+) and negative (–) speaker cables.
• Do not move the speaker while the speaker cables are
connected. This may cause a short circuit.
• Make sure to bundle the speaker cable with a string etc. when
relocating the speaker cables.
Bi-wiring connection (SB-PF800)
The speakers have independent HF (mid-to-high frequency) and
LF (low frequency) terminals. Bi-wiring is possible if your amplifier
also has two sets of speaker terminals [(A) and (B)]. You can
thus enjoy an enhanced sound experience with greater presence
and spread.
• Remove the shorting bars
p before connecting the speaker
cables and store them securely.
• The amplifier’s speaker switch allows output from both A and
B terminals. (Consult the amplifier’s operating instructions for
further information.)

Protection circuitry
These units incorporate protection circuitry to protect them from
damage caused by excessive input or abnormal signals; when
excess input is detected, input is automatically interrupted.
If sound is interrupted...
1. Reduce the volume of the receiver (or amplifier).
2. Check the sound source and connections for any problems.
If there is no problem, the protection circuitry will reset in a
few minutes.
After the protection circuit is reset...
Take care not to increase the receiver’s volume too high.
Conecte un receptor o amplificador m con una impedancia de 6-Ω a los
altavoces delanteros, central, ambientales y ambiental trasero.
Antes de hacer la conexión
Apague el otro equipo.
No conecte el cable de alimentación de CA hasta después de haber
conectado todos los demás cables.
Retuerza unos 15 mm aproximadamente de la punta del cable.
Conecte los altavoces delanteros A y C y el altavoz central

al terminal HF positivo (+) y los cables negativos al terminal LF negativo (–).
• No quite las barras de cortocircuito p .
Si se utiliza un cable con clavija de 4 mm s de venta
en el comercio.
Apriete a fondo la perilla del terminal del altavoz, y luego inserte el extremo
del cable con clavija en la parte superior de la perilla.
No cortocircuite nunca los cables positivos (+) y negativos
(–) de los altavoces.
• No mueva el altavoz mientras están conectados sus cables. Esto podría
causar un cortocircuito.
• Asegúrese de juntar los cables de los altavoces con una cuerda, etc.
cuando cambie la posición de los mismos.
Conexión tipo bicableado (SB-PF800)
Los altavoces tienen terminales independientes HF (frecuencia media a
alta) y LF (frecuencia baja). El bicableado es posible si su amplificador
también tiene dos juegos de terminales de altavoces [(A) y (B)]. Usted
podrá disfrutar por lo tanto de un sonido mejorado con mayor efecto de
presencia y amplitud.
• Quite las barras de cortocircuito
p antes de conectar los cables de
los altavoces y guárdelas en un lugar seguro.
• El conmutador de altavoces del amplificador permite elegir la salida por
los terminales A y B. (Consulte las instrucciones de funcionamiento del
amplificador para conocer más información.)

Circuitería de protección
Estos aparatos incorporan una circuitería de protección para protegerlos
de daños causados por una entrada excesiva o señales anormales;
cuando una entrada excesiva es detectada, la entrada es
automáticamente interrumpida.
Si el sonido se interrumpe...
1. Reduzca el volumen del receptor (o amplificador).
2. Verifique si hay problemas en la fuente de sonido y las conexiones.
Si no hay problemas, la circuitería de protección se reajustará en
unos pocos minutos.
Después de que el circuito de protección sea reajustado...
Cuídese de no incrementar demasiado el volumen del receptor.
