MAINTENANCE

WARNING:

When servicing, use only identical Ryobi replacement
parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or
cause product damage.

WARNING:

Always wear eye protection with side shields marked
to comply with ANSI Z87.1 during product operation. If
operation is dusty, also wear a dust mask.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.

WARNING:

Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal
injury.

LUBRICATION

All of the bearings in this tool are lubricated with a sufficient
amount of high grade lubricant for the life of the unit under
normal operating conditions.

CLEANING THE BUCKET

 Unplug the brush cleaner.
 Remove the cleaning assembly from the bucket by lifting

up and releasing the latches on each end of the unit.

 Dispose of dirty water (or Klean Strip

®

White Formula

Paint Thinner) in accordance with federal, state, and local
ordinances.

 Fill the bucket about one-third full with clean water. A small

amount of mild household detergent may be added.

NOTE: Never use flammable chemicals or abrasive

cleaning agents to clean the bucket.

 Reattach the cleaning assembly to the bucket. Make sure

the latches are closed.

 Refill and repeat the procedure with clean water.
NOTE: It may be necessary to rinse the bucket more than

once, then drain again as directed above.

 Wipe the bucket with a clean, dry cloth.
 Store tool indoors.
