BrightScript
Roku BrightScript is a scripting language designed specifically for digital signage and kiosks. It makes creating
control logic for interactive applications easy by employing concepts similar to VBScript or JavaScript, which are
familiar to developers. BrightScript works with Roku’s object library for complete run-time control of BrightSign
including video and audio outputs, input sources such as keyboards, buttons, touch screens and much more. Sim-
ply put a file on your flash memory card named “autoplay.bas” to have a complete custom script autorun on boot.
It also supports timers, wait events, audio controls and video modes including scaling.
