Introduction
The
miDock ™ PORTFOLIO FOR STILETTO is a portable audio
system designed specifically for iPod and other MP3
players and can be powered by an AC adapter or battery.
Your
miDock PORTFOLIO FOR STILETTO also charges the battery
for your iPod when it is docked and the AC power adapter
is plugged in. The following information will help you
get the most from your
miDock PORTFOLIO FOR STILETTO .

Setting Up Your miDock PORTFOLIO FOR STILETTO
AC & Battery Operation. Plug the adapter cable
into the 12V DC power input jack at the back of your
miDock
PORTFOLIO FOR STILETTO . Plug the AC power adapter
into a 120V wall outlet. To enjoy your favorite music
anywhere anytime, install four (4) AA batteries in the
battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit.
Pick The Right Adapter For Your Stiletto. In the miDock
PORTFOLIO FOR STILETTO carton, you will find different
adapters for different Stiletto models. Using the included
Adapter Guide, identify the adapter that fits your iPod.
Dock Your Stiletto. With the power switch Off, place
your Stiletto into the docking cradle and push down gently
but firmly to ensure that the docking connector is fully
seated and your Stiletto is securely held in the cradle.
Turn It On, Turn It Up! Press the power switch on
the front panel. Volume controls are on the right side
of the system.
Notes
To use a music source other than an Stiletto, use an
interconnect audio cable with a 3.5 mm stereo plug.

is located on the rear of the unit.

Be careful to set the volume on the MP3 player at a safe
level before playing music through your
miDock PORTFOLIO
STILETTO . You may need to adjust both the miDock PORTFOLIO
and MP3 player volume controls to get the best result.

Limited Two Year Warranty
Directed Electronics, Inc. promises to the original
purchaser, to replace this product should it prove to be
defective in workmanship or material under normal use,
for a period of two years from the date of purchase by
the dealer as indicated by the date code marking of the
product PROVIDED the product was installed by an author-
ized Directed dealer. During this two -year period, there
will be no charge for this replacement PROVIDED the
unit is returned to Directed, shipping pre-paid. If the unit
is installed by anyone other than an authorized Directed
dealer, the warranty period will be one year from the date
of purchase by the dealer as indicated by the date code
marking of the product. During this one-year period there
will be no charge for this replacement PROVIDED the unit
is returned to Directed, shipping pre-paid. This warranty
is non-transferable and does not apply to any unit that has
been modified or used in a manner contrary to its intended
purpose, and does not cover damage to the unit caused
by installation or removal of the unit. This warranty is void
if the product has been damaged by accident or unreason-
able use, neglect, improper service or other causes not
arising out of defects in materials or construction. ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
EXPRESS WARRANTY, IMPLIED WARRANTY, WARRANTY
OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PUR-
POSE, AND WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT OF
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, AND
DIRECTED NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY
PERSON TO ASSUME FOR IT ANY LIABILITY IN CON-
NECTION WITH THE SALE OF THE PRODUCT. DIRECTED
HAS ABSOLUTELY NO LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL
ACTS OF THIRD PARTIES INCLUDING ITS AUTHORIZED
DEALERS OR INSTALLERS. Unit must be returned
to Directed, postage pre-paid, with: consumer’s name,
telephone number, and address, authorized dealer’s name
and address, and product description. IN ORDER FOR
THIS WARRANTY TO BE VALID, YOUR UNIT MUST
BE SHIPPED WITH PROOF OF INSTALLATION BY
AN AUTHORIZED DIRECTED DEALER. ALL UNITS
RECEIVED BY DIRECTED FOR WARRANTY REPAIR
WITHOUT PROOF OF DIRECTED DEALER INSTALLA-
TION WILL BE COVERED BY THE LIMITED ONE-YEAR
PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY. Note: This warranty
does not cover labor costs for the removal and rein-
stallation of the unit. BY PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT,
THE CONSUMER AGREES AND CONSENTS THAT
ALL DISPUTES BETWEEN THE CONSUMER AND
Directed SHALL BE RESOLVED IN ACCORDANCE
